ezra pound. una chica


Una chica

El árbol ha entrado en mis manos,
la savia ha subido por mis brazos,
el árbol crece en mi pecho—
hacia abajo,
las ramas crecen fuera de mí, como brazos.

Árbol eres tú,
musgo eres tú,
eres violetas con viento sobre ellas.
una chica  —tan alta— eres tú,
y todo esto es una locura para el mundo.

A Girl
The tree has entered my hands,
The sap has ascended my arms,
The tree has grown in my breast—
Downward,
The branches grow out of me, like arms.

Tree you are,
Moss you are,
You are violets with wind above them.
A child  —so high— you are,

And all this is folly to the world.
